Brief Overview of Role:The Communications and Branding Specialist is responsible for leading the development and implementation of effective multi-platform communications and branding strategies along with its initiatives to build DHSZ's reputation, and to effectively convey the school's message to various stakeholders, both internally and externally. It requires knowledge of news industry, branding management, creating and pitching compelling stories, networking with traditional and new media, and utilizing tools and best practices to enhance DHSZ's ability on news making and building public support.Qualifications and Skills:1. University degree, preferably postgraduate, in media practice, journalism, public relations, marketing, communications and branding management.2. 4~6 years of experience in a similar capacity 3. Excellent writing and editing skills in English and Chinese languages 4. Sound understanding of social media platforms with the ability to create compelling content across a variety of platforms 5. Familiarity with website content management and design, online tools 6. Experience in internal and external production personnel in areas of print, photography, video production 7. Proficiency in graphic design is an advantage 8. Willing and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of quality9. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments to ensure that communication initiatives align with the school's overall goals10. Develop comprehensive communication and branding strategies aligned with DHSZ's goals and values, with support from the Head of Communications.2. Lead and oversee the execution of communication campaigns and initiatives.3. Manage DHSZ’s brand identity and ensuring consistent branding across all channels and materials.4. Conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify communication and branding opportunities.5. Create and manage the production of high-quality content for various mediums, including print, digital, and video.6. Provide strategic guidance on messaging, tone, and voice to maintain brand consistency.7. Collaborate within the comms. team, with the event coordinator and the digital media specialist, and work across functions and schools, to align communication efforts.8. Track and analyse communication and branding metrics to assess effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.9. Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering professional growth and development.10. Bring strategic thinking into content planning and development. Guide each communicable and promotional topic from professional communications perspective and be result-oriented and data-driven, which means, keeping tracking the impressions of our publications and collecting feedback from content audiences and reflecting on how to improve the reach of content, the effectiveness of distribution, and the conversion rates.11. Proactively take on all relevant topics or tasks related to the Communications Team, regardless of whether they fall within this person’s job responsibilities. Need to have the ability to lead all communications matters when the Head of Communications is unavailable, and be capable of mobilizing and coordinating other team members to work towards the goals together.12.
